Ethnographic complex – Kavarna
Lovers of history and old crafts will be fascinated by their visit to the ethnographic complex of Kavarna. It has been open for visitors since 1984 and includes a house-museum, a slipper-making workshop, lace atelier and a yard. The whole exhibition introduces visitors to the life and livelihood of urban residents from the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The house-museum is restored to represent the typical interior for this period. Every room is furnished according to the lifestyle of a certain ethnographic group – people from the town of Kotel, the Dobrudzha region and the Gagauz people. Various work instruments and agricultural tools can be seen on the ground floor. Workshops will introduce you to two of the typical crafts of this area. In the courtyard, with a preserved old-fashioned disposition, you can rest in the midst of fragrant flowers.
