Chirakman Cape
It is located 3 km away from Kavarna, in the small bay beneath it there is a wonderful beach, a fishing village and a small yacht port. And the view from the cape is magnificent. There are preserved parts of the fortress wall of the ancient city of Byzone, which existed in the first millennium BC. The neighbourhood of wealthy families who lived in the city at that time was located in the front of Cape Chirakman, so the people could enjoy the view from their homes. At the end of the 1st century BC, a big earthquake split the cape into two and the neighbourhood, along with its people, sank into the sea. The city was restored again in Roman times when it became an important cultural and economic center.
Cape Chirakman is also a popular venue for extreme sports such as hang gliding.
